How often should I use The OV

Use as often as you like. Many women incorporate it into their daily routine—
after showering, before bed, or before intimate moments. It is recommended you use it at least three times a week, but use it as suits your preferences and skincare habits.

How do I use the OV?

Apply liberally to external genital skin at least three times a week.

Unlike internal products that require specific positioning or timing, The Original Velvet's external formula provides complete convenience. Apply whenever you wish—morning routines, after showering, after exercise, before bed, or moments before intimacy.

External application also means:
- No insertion required
- Use standing, sitting, or lying down
- Perfect for travel and on-the-go care
- Simple, straightforward application.

Please note The OV is not compatible with latex condoms.

Is this a lubricant?

This is not a lubricant.

A lubricant is used to provide temporary slip for moments of intimacy.

Daily intimate moisturisers like The Original Velvet are designed for regular
external use to keep vulval skin in good condition. Think of it as daily skincare
for intimate areas—maintaining softness, smoothness, and comfort through
consistent care.

Can I use it before/ during/ after intimate moments?

Yes. The Original Velvet can be applied before/during/after intimacy.

However, it's a moisturiser, not a lubricant. For optimal intimate experiences, you may want both: The Original Velvet for daily skincare and a personal lubricant for in-the-moment slip.

The Original Velvet should not be used with condoms. The oils in the formulation may weaken the material of the condom causing it to break and be ineffective.

Can I use it with other intimate products?

Yes. The Original Velvet is compatible with personal lubricants and other skincare products. Apply The Original Velvet first, then use other products as desired.

As an oil based product it is not suitable for use with latex products eg condoms.

Can I use this if I am on hormone therapy for menopause?

Yes! As a non hormonal, external product, The OV will not interfere with your hormone therapy for menopause or perimenopause.

Can I use this if I am on the contraceptive pill?

Yes! As a non hormonal, external product, The OV will not interfere with your contraceptive pill.

Can I use this if I am breastfeeding?

Yes! As a non hormonal, external product, The OV will not interfere with breastfeeding. Please note it is not compatible with condom use.

Can I use this with condoms?

The Original Velvet should not be used with condoms. The oils in the formulation may weaken the material of the condom causing it to break and be ineffective.

How long does 1 tube (30 ml) last?

With daily use, one 30ml tube typically lasts 4-6 weeks. Usage varies based on how
much you apply and how frequently you use it.

Is this a treatment for medical conditions?

No. The Original Velvet is a cosmetic moisturiser for external use. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. If you have health concerns about intimate areas, please consult your GP or gynecologist.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The Original Velvet was formulated specifically with sensitive vulval skin in mind. It's free from common irritants like parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances, and has been dermatologically tested. However, everyone's skin is unique. If you have known sensitivities, review the full ingredient list or consult your GP. We recommend everyone does a patch test prior to use.

What if I experience irritation?

While The Original Velvet is formulated for sensitive skin, individual reactions are always possible with any product. We recommend everyone does a patch test prior to use. If you experience irritation, discontinue use and consult your healthcare practitioner if concerns persist.

How do I store The OV?
